Pivovarna Laško Union (PLU) is the largest beverage producer in Slovenia and employs almost 600 people. The company, which is 100% owned by the Dutch company Heineken, was formed in 2016 by merging Pivovarna Laško and Pivovarna Union and thus inherited a nearly 200-year tradition of beer production in Slovenia.
