Dravske elektrarne Maribor is the largest Slovenian producer of electric power using renewable resources. With eight hydroelectric power plants along the Drava River, three small power plants and two photovoltaic power plants Dravske elektrarne Maribor generates 25 % of electric power in Slovenia. That represents 80 % of Slovenia’s electric power in compliance with the criteria of renewable energy resources and the standards of the internationally adopted RECS (Renewable Energy Certificates System) certificate. Quality electric power is generated in an environmentally friendly manner while respecting the principles of sustainable development.
