Celinka records is a creative environment that sees possibilities and explores abilities for creating, performing and listening to music. Originally, the name of the company means the whole note, that is, the note with the longest length, the whole length. As its meaning implies, Celinka connects individual musicians and the music styles they perform into
new units, new wholes. The company's ethos is to emphasize not just the melody and rhythm, but to rather focus on the driving force of the music creation: one's love of music.
In the nine years since Celinka was founded, the company, led by the accordion player and composer Janez Dovcˇ, recorded and published more than 100 albums, organized and produced various events at home and abroad, produced special brand Sounds of Slovenia.

Slovenian folk music is a memory from the distant past, an echo of our land voicing the diversity of Slovenian regions, and the project aims to show the meaning of rich diversity and how important this diversity is, not just in a cultural, but also in an economic and political sense. Respect for the diversity and interdependence of the world are key to identifying new patterns that can lead us out of the economic and ecological crisis.
