Established in 2003, the Galerija Fotografija gallery is the first private gallery in Slovenia dedicated just to fine art photography. Located in the first floor of the medieval house in the old Ljubljana city centre, the Galerija Fotografija aims at popularisation of high-quality photography of established Slovene and international artists. Alongside up to 8 exhibition annually the gallery organises also lectures, round tables and project presentations. The gallery entered the international art market in 2009, participating at the Viennafair, continuing in 2010 and 2011 at the Paris Photo and MIA fair, Photo Basel...The gallery also runs a book shop focused on photography literature and non acid material for archiving photographs and other works on paper.
